Space Exploration


Olivia is my little space explorer–always telling me facts about the planets, pointing out the Big Dipper to me in the night sky, reminding me that the sun is in fact a star. She loves the subject of space and even convinced her teachers at school to make space the unit of study for the month of February. We recently took her to the Chabot Space Center where I heard lots of gasps and “WHOA! CHECK THIS OUT!” Such a treat after hearing so much talk amongst her friends about boys.

I love that she adores space and only hope that she carries this curiosity with her all through life. Could Olivia be the next Sally Ride? Maybe. Olivia O’Donnell, explorer extraordinaire? Absolutely.
